Licensing requirements for Prospective Foster Parents
ADC ensures that each family is in compliance annually by providing the required trainings, conducting home studies and connecting families with helpful resources for their child(ren) unique needs.

Must be at least 21 years of age

Complete an application

ADC Child Placing Agency will assist you with all required documents

Provide relative and non-relative references

Be single, married, widowed, or divorced

Proof of marital status may be needed

Agree to a home study

This will include a meeting with all household members and inspection of all parts of the home, grounds, and outside areas.

Criminal history background check and an abuse/neglect check on all adults in the household

Attend trainings regarding your role as a foster parent, abuse and neglect, and more
